Harris County, TX — An undercover investigation by Harris County Constable Precinct 4 led to the shutdown of an alleged illegal gambling operation inside a business operating as a reception hall in the 11500 block of Veterans Memorial Drive.

Detectives with Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division began investigating after receiving tips about suspected illegal gambling activity at the location.

Authorities said the undercover investigation confirmed gambling activity inside the business, leading detectives to obtain and execute a search warrant.

During the operation, investigators reported seizing more than $6,000 in suspected gambling proceeds, numerous alleged illegal gambling devices and documentation they said supported the gambling operation.

An employee identified as Viet Pham was charged with Possession of Gambling Devices and Equipment.

How to Report Suspected Illegal Gambling:

281-376-3472

Tips may also be submitted through the agency’s Regulatory Enforcement Unit, and complaints may be made anonymously.

The charge and allegations are accusations. Pham is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
