Rio Grande City, TX — An individual was taken into custody after reportedly exhibiting concerning and erratic behavior outside the Fort Ringgold grounds, according to Rio Grande City Grulla ISD.
District officials said the RGC Grulla ISD police chief made contact with the individual and prevented him from getting any closer to the Fort Ringgold area.
The Rio Grande City Police Department was contacted and responded to the scene, where officers took the individual into custody.
According to the district, the individual never entered Fort Ringgold, crossed into the fenced area or approached any district campuses.
Officials emphasized that students and staff were not in danger at any time.
