Guadalupe County Deputies Search for Missing Alice Woman After Vehicle and Belongings Found Abandoned
Guadalupe County, TX — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating 38-year-old Aryssa Leann Torres of Alice, Texas, after her vehicle, phone and personal belongings were found abandoned south of Seguin.
Deputies last encountered Torres around 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, near Curry Road and O’Daniel Road in southern Guadalupe County. She told deputies she was training for a marathon and planned to return to a nearby Airbnb.
Authorities said deputies had also checked on Torres earlier that day and found no immediate reason for concern.
On Aug. 13, Torres’ vehicle, phone and belongings were found abandoned at Amazing Grace Baptist Church along TX-123 south of Seguin.
Handwritten notes found inside the vehicle suggest Torres may be experiencing a mental health crisis. Authorities reported no signs of foul play.
Her family said the disappearance is highly unusual and that they normally communicate with Torres every day, sometimes several times a day, but have not heard from her.
