Harris County, TX — A caregiver was arrested Thursday after allegedly assaulting an elderly patient at a facility in the 12200 block of Timber Estates Drive, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Deputies responded August 13 following a report that a staff member had injured an elderly patient. Investigators allege caregiver Latosha Fisher shoved the patient from behind, causing pain and injury.

Fisher was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Injury to the Elderly. According to the Constable’s Office, her bond had not been set through the 176th District Court at the time of the agency’s update.

Constable Mark Herman said allegations involving abuse of vulnerable members of the community are taken seriously and emphasized that elderly residents deserve dignity, compassion and respect.

Fisher is accused of a crime, and the charge is an allegation. She is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
