Midland, TX — Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating 37-year-old Ronnie Matthew Velarde, a wanted fugitive with ties to Midland who should be considered armed and dangerous.
Velarde is wanted for a parole violation stemming from original offenses of Burglary of a Habitation and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
According to information released with the wanted notice, Velarde has a criminal history that includes convictions for burglary of a habitation, engaging in organized criminal activity, evading arrest or detention, failure to identify, theft of property, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities said Velarde was most recently released on parole in April 2025. A warrant for parole violation was issued May 28, 2026.

Authorities warn that Velarde should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public should NOT attempt to approach or apprehend him.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
