Montgomery County, TX — A 44-year-old former Magnolia police officer has been arrested in Louisiana and charged with Sexual Assault of a Child following an investigation by Montgomery County Precinct 3 detectives.
According to Constable Ryan Gable’s Office, detectives assigned to Children’s Safe Harbor received a report from Child Protective Services in May 2026 alleging child sexual abuse involving Brandon David Muse of Magnolia.
Investigators said they later developed probable cause to charge Muse with Sexual Assault of a Child, a second-degree felony in Texas. The alleged victim was 14 years old at the time of the reported offense.
Detectives determined Muse was living in Minden, Louisiana, and requested assistance from the Minden Police Department. Officers there located and arrested him on Aug. 11.
Investigators Detail Previous Employment:
According to the constable’s office, detectives learned Muse:
• Previously served as an officer with the Magnolia Police Department; his employment ended in January 2020
• Worked for Magnolia Independent School District, possibly in transportation services, from March 2023 through April 2024
• Was employed as a school bus monitor for a school district in the Minden, Louisiana, area at the time of his arrest
Investigators also believe Muse may have been involved with youth groups in both Texas and Louisiana.
