Jasper County, TX — A 57-year-old Buna man was taken into custody Wednesday after a bond hearing resulted in a higher bond on his existing Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle charge, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Timmy Castillo on Aug. 12 at the Jasper County Courthouse after a capias warrant was issued.
Authorities said the warrant raised Castillo’s bond on the original charge of Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle, which the sheriff’s office identified as a first-degree felony.
Castillo was transported to the Jasper County Jail without incident.
The charge is an accusation. Castillo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
