Bexar County, TX — Three people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead in northeast Bexar County, according to arrest affidavits.
Bexar County sheriff’s deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. Monday to Waterside Drive and Crestway Road, where they found the victim unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds inside a black Mitsubishi Lancer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Court records identify the suspects as 45-year-old Kyle Erin Torres-Carcovich, 58-year-old Martin Sanchez Jr. and 38-year-old Robert Barnett.
Investigators said a license plate reader detected a white Volvo approximately half a mile from the shooting scene about one minute before the shooting was reported. Authorities later traced the vehicle, which was a dealership loaner.
According to the affidavits, Torres-Carcovich and Barnett told investigators they were aware the shooting had occurred. Both allegedly identified Sanchez as the person who fired from the Volvo. Barnett told investigators Sanchez said, “I’m going to light them up” shortly before the gunfire.
Investigators also obtained surveillance footage from a Valero gas station recorded approximately 40 minutes after the shooting. According to the affidavit, Sanchez was seen going through the back seat of the Volvo and throwing items into a trash can. Investigators later searched the trash and reported finding multiple shell casings.

The allegations contained in the arrest affidavits have not been proven in court. All three defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
