Kingsville, TX — The Kingsville Police Department is welcoming two of its newest members, Officer I. Rosas and K-9 Lea, who were sworn in July 31.
Officer Rosas graduated from the Del Mar Police Academy in June 2026 after completing six months of training. According to KPD, he then completed six weeks of in-house training and has begun the department’s field training process before being released to work independently.
K-9 Lea completed five weeks of training in narcotics detection and criminal apprehension and is now working on patrol alongside her handler, Investigator R. Garcia.
The department said both are prepared to serve the City of Kingsville with honor, courage and commitment.
