Seguin, TX — Construction continues on a major Interstate 10 widening project between FM 464 and SH 130, with crews making progress on roadway, bridge and safety improvements, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The project includes widening I-10 from four to six lanes between FM 464 and SH 123, rebuilding ramps, converting frontage roads to one-way traffic and constructing new bridges.

Current Work:

• Roadway paving and improvements
• Bridge construction at multiple locations
• Retaining wall installation
• Safety upgrades throughout the corridor

Over the next two months, crews are expected to continue work on the new eastbound frontage road, advance bridge construction, install new concrete pavement and complete additional safety improvements.

TxDOT said no major traffic pattern changes are currently planned during the next two months.

Construction began in January 2024 and remains ahead of schedule. Substantial completion is anticipated in summer 2029.
