Burnet County, TX — Firefighters have stopped the forward progression of a grass and brush fire burning near CR 401 South and CR 403, according to Burnet County ESD 9/Spicewood Fire Rescue.
The fire, identified as the Flat Rock Fire, was reported in the 4000 block of CR 401 South. As of the latest update, officials estimated the fire was approximately 20% contained.

Texas A&M Forest Service crews are working to establish a containment line around the fire using a bulldozer. Firefighters will remain at the scene extinguishing hot spots within the burned area and monitoring conditions throughout the night as containment work continues.
