San Antonio, TX — A San Antonio Police Department lieutenant and 25-year department veteran was arrested Sunday while off duty and charged with driving while intoxicated, according to SAPD.
Benjamin Paul Flores, 47, was taken into custody by Helotes police officers and charged with DWI, a Class B misdemeanor, according to Bexar County court records.
Flores was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and later released Sunday on a $1,000 bond.
At the time of his arrest, Flores was assigned to SAPD’s patrol division. The department said he has since been placed on administrative duty.
SAPD is conducting an administrative investigation into the arrest.
