Montgomery County, TX — A Montgomery County jury sentenced 23-year-old Logan Michael Parker to two life sentences after finding him guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping in the violent attack of a pregnant convenience store clerk who was working alone overnight.
According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, evidence presented at trial showed the victim had helped Parker only minutes before the attack when his card was declined.
Prosecutors said Parker later returned to the store, parked behind the business, turned off his headlights and deliberately targeted the clerk.
Chief Prosecutor Laura Hill credited the survivor’s courage and the Conroe Police Department’s investigation in helping prosecutors build the case.
“The evidence left no question about who committed these crimes. The jury recognized that, and because of their verdict, a dangerous offender has been removed from our community,” Hill said.
Montgomery County District Attorney Mike Holley described the crime as an act of “calculated evil.”
“A woman showed this defendant compassion. He repaid that kindness by returning to the store and committing an unspeakable act of violence against the very person who helped him,” Holley said.
According to the district attorney’s office, Parker will serve at least 30 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole.
