Arlington Man Identified in Apparent Murder-Suicide Under Investigation in Denton

Denton, TX — Authorities have identified the man involved in an apparent murder-suicide that left two people dead Sunday afternoon in Denton.

According to the Denton Police Department, officers and firefighters responded around 2:35 p.m. to the 1900 block of N. Bell Avenue following reports of a shooting.

First responders found a man and woman outside a residence. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Based on witness interviews and other evidence, investigators preliminarily believe the man fatally shot the woman before shooting himself.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 31-year-old Collin Farley of Arlington.

Police said the woman’s next of kin has been notified, but her identity has not yet been publicly released pending positive forensic identification. Detectives confirmed she had previously been in a relationship with Farley.

The investigation remains ongoing.
