Midland, TX — Midland police are searching for a 37-year-old man accused of shooting a 23-year-old during a disturbance early Sunday morning.
Officers responded at approximately 1:31 a.m. Aug. 9 to the 1100 block of North Colorado Street following reports of a gunshot victim.
According to the Midland Police Department, the 23-year-old victim was shot by a suspect who fired from a vehicle during the disturbance.
Witnesses identified the suspected shooter as 37-year-old Edward Jesus Ochoa, police said.
Investigators later located Ochoa’s vehicle at his residence, but police said Ochoa had not been located or arrested at the time of the department’s update.
The victim was reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
