Houston, TX — A woman in her 20s was killed early Saturday after police said her vehicle traveled through two red lights at a high rate of speed before crashing into another vehicle in southeast Houston.
According to preliminary information from the Houston Police Department, the crash happened at Telephone Road and Reveille Street.
Police said the woman was driving southbound on Reveille Street at a high rate of speed when she went through two red lights and struck another vehicle in the intersection.
Officers and paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Police said each vehicle had only one occupant.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the crash.
