Dallas, TX — A man died after being struck by two vehicles late Friday night near Maple Avenue and Lucas Drive in Dallas.
Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to the crash at approximately 11:33 p.m. on Aug. 7.
According to preliminary information, the man entered the roadway and was struck by an SUV traveling southbound on Maple Avenue. The impact caused him to fall into the northbound lane, where he was then struck by an unoccupied autonomous vehicle.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene. Authorities said the autonomous vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
