Harris County, TX — A welfare check on a driver sitting inside an idling vehicle resulted in a drug arrest, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

Deputy Martinez responded near Corinthian Park Drive and Eagle Grove Lane after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting and idling in the area.

The deputy initially approached the vehicle to check on the driver’s welfare. During the investigation, authorities said the driver was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

No additional details about the substance allegedly recovered or the identity of the driver were released.
