El Paso County, TX — Three people were arrested after deputies say two suspects fled from a traffic stop on off-road vehicles and another allegedly interfered with their apprehension.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, deputies observed three off-road vehicles traveling southbound on a public roadway in the 1400 block of North Fabens Road on Aug. 2.

When a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicles allegedly failed to stop and fled. After a brief pursuit, deputies tracked one of the off-road vehicles to a residence in the 16100 block of Mesa Jewel Drive in Fabens.

Authorities said two male occupants exited the vehicle, ran into a residence, and were later taken into custody. During the investigation, deputies allege a woman at the residence interfered with officers as they attempted to apprehend the suspects.

The following individuals were arrested:

• Carlos Daniel Lujan, 17 – Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle; bond set at $7,500.

• Gabriel Luna, 18 – Evading Arrest/Detention; bond set at $2,500.

• Angelica Marjorie Elias, 31 – Interference with Public Duties; bond set at $2,000.

All criminal charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
