Sealy, TX — A Sealy man was arrested Friday after members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team executed an arrest warrant tied to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

According to the Westside Narcotics Task Force, the warrant was served at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 7 at a residence in the 300 block of Dotson Street. The Austin County Sheriff's Office and Sealy Police Department assisted with the operation.

Authorities arrested 53-year-old Steve Jackson, who was charged with Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Jackson was transported to the Austin County Jail without incident.

Officials said the arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into complaints of narcotics being sold in the greater Sealy area.

The Westside Narcotics Task Force includes investigators from the Austin County Sheriff's Office, Bellville Police Department, Sealy Police Department, Hempstead Police Department, Waller County Sheriff's Office, Fayette County Sheriff's Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

All criminal charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
