Bay City, TX — A Bay City man was taken into custody without incident after officers responded to a reported armed domestic disturbance at an apartment Tuesday morning.
According to the Bay City Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:04 a.m. on July 21, 2026, to the 1901 Palm Village apartment complex following reports of a domestic disturbance.
While officers were en route, dispatch advised that 20-year-old Keyon Marshall was reportedly inside the residence, had been awake throughout the night, was damaging property, and had allegedly been seen with a black firearm. The complainant told authorities Marshall remained inside the apartment after law enforcement was contacted.
Police reviewed surveillance video and said Marshall was not observed leaving the residence. Detective Soto then began communicating with Marshall over a loudspeaker in an effort to resolve the situation peacefully.
A short time later, Marshall exited the apartment with his hands visible and surrendered to officers without incident.
Authorities said Marshall was arrested on outstanding Bay City Police Department warrants for:
• Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
• Interference with an Emergency Telephone Call
• Assault
He was transported to the Matagorda County Jail, where he was booked on the outstanding warrants.
All criminal charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
