Harris County, TX — Constable deputies are searching for a woman accused of fleeing after striking a mother who was pushing her young children through a marked crosswalk in a Walmart parking lot.

According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the crash occurred July 29 in the 26200 block of the Northwest Freeway.

Deputies said the woman was leaving the store and pushing a shopping cart containing her children when an SUV struck her, causing injuries. The driver allegedly left without stopping, providing information, or rendering aid.

Following an investigation, authorities identified the suspected driver as Juanita McGarr. A warrant has been issued for her arrest on a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

Her bond had not been set through the 496th District Court at the time of the department’s announcement.

Anyone with information about McGarr’s whereabouts is asked to contact Harris County Constable Precinct 4 or a local law enforcement agency.
