New Braunfels, TX — A New Braunfels woman has been arrested following an investigation that began with authorities in Illinois and led to child pornography and bestiality charges.
According to the New Braunfels Police Department, the investigation began on June 29 after the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois contacted detectives regarding an ongoing case.
Investigators said the Illinois investigation identified a woman living in New Braunfels who was allegedly connected to the possession and distribution of child pornography or bestiality-related material.
New Braunfels detectives opened a local investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Michelle Nicole Johnson, 35.
On Wednesday, officers served the warrant and took Johnson into custody. She was transported to the Comal County Jail.
Johnson is charged with:
* Possession or Accessing Computer-Generated Child Pornography
* Bestiality
The investigation remains ongoing.
