Conroe, TX — Conroe police are investigating after a body believed to be that of a missing Willis man was found Thursday afternoon in a wooded area near Interstate 45.
Police were called around 1:16 p.m. to the 12000 block of North Interstate 45 after someone reported finding a body near the highway.
Investigators said the clothing on the deceased person matched the description of what 65-year-old Steven Collier was last seen wearing. Collier had been reported missing Monday.
Authorities have not officially confirmed the identity.
Police said there were no obvious signs of injury observed at the scene. The body was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center, where an autopsy and formal identification will be conducted.
