Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Continues Search for Missing Rusk Man

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about James David Blount, who was last seen Dec. 2, 2025, in Rusk.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the disappearance of James David Blount, who was last seen Dec. 2, 2025, in Rusk, according to the agency.

Blount, 57, is described on a missing-person flyer as a white man who is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

The flyer lists a $30,000 reward and asks anyone with information about Blount's disappearance to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office at 903-683-2271.
