The Laredo Police Department announced the death of Officer Alejandra Garza, with permission from her family.
In a statement, the department said Garza served the Laredo community with dedication, professionalism and pride. Her death is a tremendous loss to the department, fellow officers and everyone who knew and worked alongside her.
The department extended its condolences, thoughts and prayers to Garza’s family, friends, loved ones and fellow members of law enforcement. It also asked the public to keep the Garza family in their thoughts and prayers and to respect their privacy as they grieve.
“Officer Alejandra Garza, thank you for your service and dedication to our community,” the department said. “Your memory and service will forever remain a part of the Laredo Police Department.”
