Harris County Precinct 5 deputies arrested a driver for driving while intoxicated after responding to a two-car crash Aug. 1 on the West Sam Houston Tollway near the Katy Freeway.
A Pasadena police officer witnessed the crash and notified the Harris County Toll Road. Deputies from Constable Terry Allbritton’s office arrived and observed signs of impairment in the driver of the striking vehicle.
The scene was relocated, and the driver was offered standardized field sobriety tests. After deputies observed sufficient clues of impairment, the driver was taken into custody for DWI and later transported to the Harris County Jail without incident.
